It's computed using our own algorithm, and uses data from a number of global sources - for instance, the stock market index, global weather forecasts, daily collateral incidents, tidal charts, sunspot activity, and of course asteroid tracking data.

Commercial confidentiality clauses prevent us from revealing the full algorithm here, but interested parties may like to experiment with their own data using the core polynomials :
